Yes, the training courses I recommend to you in the Training tab are amazing. I have done almost all myself and that’s how I learned so much about online marketing, but there has always been one thing missing: someone standing by my side, holding my hand (even when it’s only virtually) and giving me some encouraging words when I got stuck.
We may know all the things required to run our successful virtual professional business, but when our mind doesn’t follow suit and we struggle with phases of doubt and lack of confidence we don’t get anywhere!
We know we know our stuff, but there are times when we just feel confused how to
- organize the business with systems that make things easier,
- deal with difficult clients who are demanding, micromanaging, cheap skates, etc.,
- set our rates without offering crippling discounts that actually kill our business,
- create passive income streams with all the knowledge and expertise we have,
- really work affiliate marketing like a pro,
- create a six figure business.
Yes, I know, we actually have all learned the tips, tricks and tools on how to do it for our clients, but funnily (or, sadly) we seem to unable to do it for ourselves, by ourselves.
You know why?
Because most of our clients have our technical and strategy support AND the support of their own coach.
We, too, need the support of a coach, who cheers us up and gives us a gentle kick up our backside when we fall into self pity and stagnation!
It’s just easier when you have a person who fully believes in us. Why does this person believe in us? Because she has done it herself and build a super-successful business with VA services. She herself has taken up coaching from others and knows all the challenges you struggle with. She KNOWS.
So, instead of annoying your partner or friends with your endless self doubts and questions (they mostly don’t know what you are talking about anyway!), coach with someone who knows your type of business and with what issues you are actually faced. Often the people closest to us can’t help us with advice because we feel they are too critical, too harsh, too confused about your type of work and are just concerned about seeing you confused, too. It makes them uncomfortable to see you stressed.
That’s why they seem to be critical, they don’t want to see us in pain, they want to help, but may not really know exactly how to motivate us in business situations. They want to see us succeed, but use the wrong words because we are already upset and super sensitive. The sad results of those “partner coaching sessions” are often fights, upset and trouble because – admit it! – you don’t actually like to be told anything by your partner, do you? You just want to cuddle up with them and be lovey dovey, but not being told about your business. So keep your personal relationships from harm and ask someone independently.
I’ve tried to take up mentoring with local mentors who had no clue what my business is about (some areas are still very behind and don’t understand the whole concept of Internet marketing). My mentor met with me and said that I look too chic and should change into blue collar type overalls and offer bookkeeping for plumbers, builders and other tradespeople in person (nothing against tradespeople, but most of my services are geared towards entrepreneurs and information marketers)!
Trouble is I am not good at bookkeeping, love my marketing and creative skills, like my high heels and my computer and want to work with online entrepreneurs! I gave up on local mentors after that.
So avoid those narrow minded mentors and coach with someone who knows online business (see the coaching packages underneath from someone who is very much in the know of what YOU need to do step-by-step and holds your hand, encourages you and cheers you up when needed).
